At our GKN Filton site, we specialise in the design and manufacture of large complex structural wing assemblies, detailed metallic components and wing systems for a combination of both civil and military aircraft.

We're looking for a current student who is open to starting with us asap on a part-time basis, before moving to a full-time year in industry in September 2026.

The Interim HR Support role provides day‑to‑day administrative and operational assistance to the Human Resources team. The position focuses on maintaining accurate employee records, supporting onboarding processes, assisting with HR queries, and contributing to HR projects that enhance compliance, employee experience, and operational efficiency. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, regulated environment are essential.

The role is fully office‑based, supporting the HR team on‑site to ensure timely and effective delivery of day‑to‑day HR operations.

What You'll Be Doing Onboarding and Records Management
  • Support onboarding activities by preparing documentation, coordinating induction materials, and ensuring HR systems are updated.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant personnel files in line with company and aerospace regulatory requirements.
  • Update employee data in the HR Information System (HRIS) and support routine data audits.
Administrative Support
  • Respond to routine HR queries from employees and managers, escalating more complex matters as needed.
  • Prepare HR letters, documentation, and internal communications.
  • Support absence management processes, including tracking and documentation.
HR Projects and Initiatives
  • Contribute to HR projects such as training coordination, employee engagement activities, or compliance initiatives.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team to ensure smooth daily operations.
What You'll Bring Education
  • Currently in education working towards a Degree in Human Resources or industrial relations.
Skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and Copilot).
  • Strong administrative and organisational capabilities.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
