Join Our Dynamic North Europe Partnering Capability Team

Are you passionate about elevating the employee experience and driving business success through people? We are seeking an agile and motivated People Partner to join our North Europe Partnering Capability team, working across the UK & Ireland. This is a 12 month fixed term contract (possibility to extend to 14 months).

Position Purpose

As a People Partner, you will be at the heart of our organisation, championing people‑centric initiatives and collaborating with Customer, Product, and Enabling Teams, as well as Home Leaders and Leadership teams. Your mission is to understand our people’s needs and design impactful strategies that foster engagement, performance, and development.

Your Role

Dynamic Assignment: Operate flexibly across all business units in the UK and Ireland.

Project Leadership: Lead and contribute to business and HR projects or initiatives, bringing your knowledge and passion.

Business Focal Point: Become a trusted advisor to our Pharma division and support other business areas as needed.

Major tasks and responsibilities of position
  • Act as a trusted HR advisor for a large or cross‑country business area, building strong relationships with business leads and employees.
  • Coach and challenge business leaders to adopt effective ways of working and thinking.
  • Identify business needs and translate them into actionable HR activities, leveraging the wider HR ecosystem.
  • Serve as the main HR point of contact, managing employment matters including labour and complex employee relations.
  • Participate in key business meetings, listen actively, and foster a collaborative environment between leadership and staff.
  • Lead and deliver change management initiatives (local and global), supporting organisational transformations such as restructures, mergers, acquisitions, and divestments.
  • Collaborate with teams and leaders to improve work relationships, drive collaboration, and enhance retention, providing expert HR advice as required.
  • Champion key topics (e.g. Diversity & Inclusion, Labour Relations, Talent Impact) across divisions and ensure consistent implementation of initiatives.
  • Monitor internal trends and external market dynamics to develop impactful HR solutions.
Qualifications
  • University degree or equivalent qualification (e.g. CIPD)
  • Fluent in English and local language (spoken and written)
Skills & Experience
  • Broad HR knowledge, including employee relations, organisational dynamics, Total Rewards, Talent Management, and HR systems.
  • Significant experience working with diverse teams and resolving employee relations issues.
  • Strong consulting, influencing, active listening, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Solid business acumen; understanding of business context and how HR supports organisational success.
  • Agile mindset with ability to leverage data‑driven decisions and digital HR initiatives.
  • Deep expertise in at least three areas:
    Culture & Organisational Design, Talent & Performance Management, Change Management, Project Management, Local Labour Law, Conflict Resolution, or Data Analytics.
  • Proven ability to manage change, lead HR projects, mediate conflicts, and analyse HR data to drive improvements.
