About this job

This is an exciting time to join the team in Cardiac Investigations here at North Bristol NHS Trust.

The Consultant team is increasing to enhance the services that we offer.

We offer complex device implantation and follow up to include CRT-p and CRT-d and CSP pacing.

We hold BSE Departmental Accreditation for Adult TTE, TOE and as a designated training centre.

Along with Consultant appointments we have heavily invested in the physiology staff group which is where this post fits in.

Investment in the infrastructure with a replacement catheter lab commissioned in April 2023 and plans to expand into a second lab/hybrid lab to carry out device procedures.

We have a robust replacement programme for our echo machines with new GE machines and a new reporting system.

We are looking for cardiac physiologists with experience and knowledge within echocardiography.

A BSc Cardiac Physiology qualification or equivalent is essential.

A suitable qualification in echocardiography (BSE or equivalent) is essential.

Members of the cardiac physiology team will be expected to rotate around areas of cardiology, if they hold relevant experience, such as the catheter labs, exercise tolerance testing, tilt tests, tape analysis, device follow up, remote monitoring follow up and device implant to keep up existing skills so experience in those areas would be an advantage.

The post is for 37.5 hrs/week, worked over 6 days on an 8am to 6pm working pattern.
