Position
We are looking for a Receptionist / Clerical Officer to join our specialist outpatient teams at Weston General Hospital. The Adult Therapies, Physiotherapy Department is responsible for the assessment and management of outpatients with musculoskeletal conditions.
Role OverviewThe Receptionist / Clerical Officer will serve as the first point of contact for patients accessing our services. You will be part of a small dynamic team that provides excellent service to patients and staff within a supportive and friendly working environment that encourages participation, learning, and patient‑centred care.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the initial point of contact for patients via telephone and in person.
- Communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Support the team by learning and developing new skills.
- Use IT systems to manage patient information.
- Previous experience of being an initial point of contact for patients.
- Excellent telephone and face‑to‑face communication skills.
- Desire to learn and develop professionally.
- IT literate.
- Experience using Careflow or another patient administration system is desirable.
