We are looking for
an individual who is eager to learn, has a kind and caring attitude towards patients, families & colleagues and who will be a positive team member.
As a Health Care Support Worker in C503 Bristol Heart Institute Outpatients department, you will rotate through a number of roles and areas within the outpatient setting, including assisting in the clinic area, help when needed in the blood room, prepping notes, communication with the MDT team and service users. You will act as a chaperone and advocate for the patients in these clinics, along with undertaking full sets of observations, collecting samples, stock rotation, assisting patients with mobility problems in wheelchairs, basic wound care and working through specific competencies within the various specialities.
The Outpatients Department offers a friendly, supportive, innovative and progressive environment where you will be encouraged to develop your advanced clinical skills and competencies.
The successful candidate will need good communication skills, demonstrating politeness, courtesy and sensitivity in providing compassionate care for patients and their relatives.
Practice safe standards following trust guidance to provide effective, holistic patient care, including awareness of normal ranges of vital signs and supporting patients through the clinic pathway.
