The Role Assess, diagnose, treat, and discharge patients with undifferentiated and urgent conditions Manage minor illness and acute presentations independently Take comprehensive patient histories and perform advanced clinical assessments Request and interpret diagnostics (pathology, imaging, ECGs) within scope of practice Prescribe medications as an Independent Prescriber (where qualified) Safely escalate and refer patients to GPs, specialty teams, or Emergency Departments as needed Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration and medical emergencies Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to clinical governance standards Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and provide clinical support to colleagues

The Person Registered healthcare professional (NMC, HCPC, or GMC) Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice or two Level 7 qualifications Independent Prescriber (V300) or equivalent Strong background in urgent care, emergency care, or primary care Confident managing undifferentiated patients autonomously Excellent clinical reasoning, communication, and decision-making skills Evidence of ongoing CPD and professional development ALS / ILS certification (desirable) Experience in UTC or ED settings (desirable) Familiar with local referral pathways and integrated care systems (desirable)
