Overview
Courtside Surgery is looking to recruit a part-time healthcare assistant, joining our well-established practice for 12 hours per week, working on a Wednesday and Friday. Must have phlebotomy skills.
We are looking for a hardworking, reliable and well-motivated person to join our busy nursing team who strives to ensure that our patients receive the best possible service from the Practice. You will be part of our welcoming and supportive team. We offer 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rated).
Responsibilities- Must hold a Phlebotomy qualification and be able to take blood, as essential for role.
- Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses.
- Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patient s health and well-being.
- ECG recording
- Urine testing/analysis
- Blood pressure measuring/monitoring
- Diabetic foot checks
- Lifestyle advice
- Chaperoning duties
- Surgical equipment and vaccination restocking
- Clearing and restocking consultation rooms
- Undertaking specific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual
Courtside Surgery is situated in the town of Yate with ample private onsite parking and amenities close by. We serve the community of Yate and surrounding areas. Our patient population is 15.5k. You will be part of a large multi-disciplinary team with 6 partners and 4 salaried GPs, working alongside a large clinical and back office team including urgent care team, nursing team including mental health and physiotherapists.
We consult using EMIS Web Clinical system with Ardens clinical decision support tool.
