The post holder will be responsible for the organisation and lists. This will include the management of theatre lists, answering queries from patients, GP’s and hospital staff. Plus validation tasks.

Main duties of the job- Organisation of theatre lists in accordance with the availability of medical staff, to ensure effective utilisation and management of theatre capacity
- Undertake telephone calls/queries and booking of appointments as necessary.
- Assist with the smooth running of the Waiting List Department
- Seek opportunities to develop the above services in accordance with the needs of the hospital.
- Be responsible for entering and updating accurate information on the Careflow and Bluespier systems, in a timely way.
- To maintain and manage Elective Waiting Lists to support effective patient management, within national RTT targets.
- Maintenance and management of theatre appointments, in accordance with availability of medical staff.
- Communicate effectively, accurately applying discretion and tact where necessary, with written, over the telephone and e-mail with patients, visitors, other trusts and external agencies.
- Adopt and ensure compliance with all relevant policies
- Promote and support changes to working practices, to improve service delivery.
Attend any relevant meetings, as directed by your line-manager
Undertake any other suitable task as agreed with the line-manager.
