Main duties of the jobThe role of RSM in Bristol, is an exciting post and you would oversee not only the External Beam Radiotherapy service (a 5 Linear Accelerators, all matched Elekta Versa's Linac's, delivering all sites SA , SGRT, Clarity - ultrasound verification), but also the Gamma Knife Centre ("All Tiers" service), Brachytherapy, Late Effects Service and Molecular Radiotherapy Unit (MRU). We are nationally recognised for our specialist services and run several Master Level modules in collaboration with our local Higher Education Institute.

To lead the radiotherapy service at the University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, based in the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre (BHOC). The service treats approximately 3,000 new patients a year. It operates as part of a wider Operational Delivery Network with eight other radiotherapy providers across the Somerset, Wiltshire, Avon and Gloucester (SWAG) and the Peninsula, Cancer Alliances. The department has an extensive range of equipment and procedures that drive forward technical developments to support the translation of research into the clinical service.

Person Specification- Professional qualification in therapeutic radiography leading to state registration with the HCPC (e)
- Substantial experience as a therapeutic radiographer across a wide range of specialties at junior and senior level (e)
- Demonstrable track record of achievement in a senior/managerial therapeutic radiographer role (e)
- Proven experience of leading and managing substantial change within a complex environment (e)
- Substantial experience of budget and finance management (e)
