Orthopaedic Practitioner (Plaster Technician)
University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) invites applications for an experienced Orthopaedic Practitioner (Plaster Technician) to work in out‑patients, wards, and orthopaedic theatres across our two hospitals:
Bristol Royal Infirmary (BRI) for adult patients and Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC) for paediatric orthopaedics.
This role requires a current British Orthopaedic Association casting qualification certificate and registration with the Association of Orthopaedic Practitioners.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient care requiring casting or splinting, liaising with clinicians as required.
- Assess initial conditions and advise clinicians on appropriate treatment plans and materials.
- Obtain informed consent from patients for all cast and splint programmes.
