Job DescriptionWe are recruiting for a Trainee Food Safety and Health and Safety Compliance Auditor to work within the South West region as part of our Food Safety and Health and Safety Team. You will be taking a key role in driving standards of excellence, building strong relationships and leading by example while building on your skills and knowledge through career development training.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake Food Safety and Health and Safety compliance audits within Primary and Secondary sites to ensure Caterlink’s policies and processes are being fully implemented and report findings.
- Liaise with the Operations Team to ensure findings are actioned and signed off.
- Support changes to food legislation or company policy implementation.
- Support the engagement and rollout of safety initiatives and information to meet the company’s expectations.
- Support the development of a strong safety culture.
- Ensure all required training is completed.
The role will require occasional overnight stays.
Qualifications- Qualified to Level 2 in Food Safety and Health and Safety.
- Understand what it means to drive a safety culture.
- Professional approach to time, cost and working to deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good organisational skills.
- Experience of working in the catering sector is desirable.
- Full driving licence and own car.
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure and satisfactory references required.
- £13.25 per hour.
- Term‑time only role, Monday‑Friday; flexible working considered.
- Monthly car allowance plus fuel reimbursement.
