Job title: Finance Director (Part-Time)
Package: £80k-£100k FTE
Location: Bristol
Reporting to: Managing Director
Job type: Part time - hours to be agreed
The ClientOur client is an independent SME operating in the financial services sector. They have experienced significant growth and are looking to standardise their financial systems and ensure that they have a financial platform capable of supporting their continued expansion. They are looking to recruit a hands-on Part Time Finance Director who will manage the existing finance department and FCA reporting requirements.
The successful candidate will work across the business to help improve processes and efficiency and create a robust financial platform.
Finance Director - The Role
As Finance Director you will manage the finance function and support the senior leadership team. You will be required to get into the detail, whilst also being a confident communicator and comfortable presenting financial data.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing sound financial and commercial management;
- Delivering the required bank covenant reporting;
- Managing and developing systems and processes to improve efficiency and reporting requirements;
- Managing and supporting members of the finance team;
- Overseeing the in-house payroll process;
- Monitoring cash and preparation of cash forecasts;
- Ensuring all statutory and FCA financial compliance requirements are met;
- Managing the financial system migration to one standard platform;
- Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with key stakeholders including auditors, lenders and HMRC.
The Successful Applicant
As Finance Director you will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) who has experience of managing a team working in an FCA regulated environment within an SME.
Ideally you will demonstrate:
- Experience of improving financial processes;
- Strong analytical, presentation and Excel skills;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Commercial acumen;
- A pragmatic, self-motivated and proactive mindset.
