How you’ll make a difference

The Finance Business Partner will support their business area in understanding and managing their financials end to end. You will provide focus on value-add through the provision of sound financial advice and support. You will do this by:

• Being a proactive and trusted advisor, acting as Subject Matter Expert on all financials and headcount, helping the business to deliver on their strategy.
• Partnering effectively with the business to forecast costs and headcount, identify threats and opportunities, and understand and explain the drivers when actual costs differ to plan.
• Translating the financials into a compelling business story.
• Challenging and understanding the financial impact and benefits of business decisions, investment projects and other business cases.

What you’ll bring

• Effective stakeholder management, building strong effective working relationships and developing analysis to support Executive Committee decisions.
• Established finance business partner who has proven experience in developing a deep understanding of the business they support, ensuring that accurate forecasts and analysis are built.
• Advanced modelling and analytical skills with proven experience in developing robust and flexible models, understanding key drivers of the costs and appropriate accounting treatment.
• Exceptional communication and Management Information presentation skills, ensuring that key messages and actions are clear and easy to understand.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment with the ability to design and adapt new processes and reports as the needs to the business change.
• Ability to lead across functions and influence decisions.

Selection process

There will likely be a 30-minute informal, exploratory chat with the Hiring Manager followed by a structured interview via Teams with the Hiring Manager plus another member of the team. Here are some of the questions you’ll be asked at interview:
