Salary: £85,000 - £115,000 (depending on experience)
A leading national commercial law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its specialist Investment Funds team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high performing practice advising fund managers, institutional investors and financial institutions on complex, high value fund matters across a wide range of asset classes. The team is known for its commercial approach, technical strength and involvement in strategically important projects across the UK and internationally.
The RoleYou will join a well established and growing team supporting clients throughout the full lifecycle of an investment fund. The work is sophisticated, varied and strategically significant, including:
- Structuring, launching and managing fund vehicles
- Advising on private equity, venture capital, real estate, hedge, infrastructure and natural resources funds
- Supporting on management business structuring, joint ventures and private wealth structures
- Advising on carried interest, co investment and participation arrangements
- Working closely with tax and regulatory colleagues on fund structuring and compliance
- Negotiating service provider relationships and advising on capital raising and distribution
- Acting for institutional investors on LP commitments, secondaries and co investments
- Supporting corporate real estate and wealth management clients on fund related transactions
The role offers exposure to both UK and cross border matters, with opportunities to work on high profile mandates.
Recent Work Highlights- Advising multiple venture capital managers on new fund launches
- Acting for private equity houses on fund formation and investor negotiations
- Supporting real estate fund managers on UK and international fund structures
- Advising hedge fund managers on new launches and management arrangements
- Acting for institutional investors on a range of fund products and LP commitments
- Handling significant secondary transactions for leading secondaries funds
- Advising wealth managers on bespoke fund of one and co investment vehicles
- Strong experience across private funds matters (domestic and international)
- Technical understanding of fund structures, investor terms and regulatory considerations
- Experience advising on fund formation, structuring and investor negotiations
- Confidence managing complex matters and maintaining strong client relationships
- A commercial mindset and collaborative approach
- Candidates with more extensive experience will also be considered.
