Corporate Tax Director

Bristol

£90,000 - £110,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Tax Director to join a highly regarded and well-established Top 20 Tax team. This role is ideal for an individual with significant corporate tax compliance and advisory experience who is looking to play a key leadership role within a growing practice.

You will help manage and develop a complex corporate tax team and a diverse portfolio of OMB/SME and large corporate clients, delivering a blend of compliance and advisory services.

Your role as a Corporate Tax Director
  • Playing a key leadership role in developing and maintaining relationships with corporate clients.
  • Reporting to and working closely with Tax Partners.
  • Liaising with Accounts and Audit Directors/Partners to ensure a seamless, joined-up service for clients.
  • Managing the Complex Corporate Tax team.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
  • Managing and reviewing complex corporate tax returns.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for HMRC, including the CCM where relevant, and supporting clients through HMRC enquiries and investigations.
  • Keeping up to date with relevant tax legislation and applying it accurately in practice.
  • Managing work-in-progress, ensuring timely billing and supporting effective debtor collection.
  • Contributing to internal and external presentations.
  • Assisting with the development of tax technical materials and delivering training where appropriate.
What you’ll need to succeed
  • You will be CTA qualified.
  • Significant experience in corporate tax, with a strong focus on large corporate tax compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
  • Sociable and enjoys being part of a wider, collaborative team.
