An international outsourced services organisation has just secured a first-of-its-kind contract within the sports and entertainment industry. As a result, they're looking to appoint a Commercial Finance Business Partner to help shape the commercial and financial foundations of this flagship operation.

The role is fully remote, with ad-hoc, event-led travel across the South-West to support major sporting and entertainment events.

The Role

As Commercial Finance Business Partner, you'll act as the financial conscience of a flagship outsourced services contract, working closely with operational, sales and stakeholder teams to drive commercial performance and informed decision-making.

You'll translate complex financial data into meaningful insight, ensuring that every major event and commercial decision is underpinned by robust analysis and clear understanding.

This is a hands-on, highly commercial role - ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the action and influencing outcomes without managing a team.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial & Performance Focus

• Reviewing and analysing key commercial KPIs to drive profitability and value.
• Partnering with operational and sales teams to optimise utilisation, yield and return.
• Reviewing pricing strategies to protect margins and recover inflationary pressures.
• Ensuring compliance with agreed commercial and contractual frameworks.
• Producing insightful management information to support decision-making for internal and external stakeholders.

Financial Control & Insight

• Supporting daily, weekly and month-end accounting activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Producing monthly management accounts with clear variance analysis and commentary.
• Overseeing invoicing, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monitoring significant capital spend, depreciation policy and cost recovery mechanisms.

Building from the Ground Up

• Supporting the design and implementation of new financial processes and systems.
• Helping establish scalable ways of working that can be replicated across future contracts.
• Acting as a key commercial partner during major events and peak trading periods.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) - Finalists will be considered!
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence without authority.
• Experience operating in fast-paced, operationally complex environments.
• Confidence working with non-finance stakeholders and turning numbers into action.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems.

Desirable

• Experience with in outsourced services or complex contractual environments.
• Exposure to event-led or high-volume operational models.
• Understanding of how commercial contracts translate into financial outcomes.
