Transactional Finance Manager (12-month Fixed Term Contract - likely extension) Bristol | Hybrid working | Full-time (one day in the office)
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced transactional finance manager to step into a key operational role within a large, complex professional services environment. This is a 12-month fixed term contract, created to provide senior, hands‑on leadership and stability across core finance operations during a period of significant systems change. There is a strong likelihood of extension.
Reporting into the Head of Operational Finance, you'll act as the day‑to‑day anchor for the transactional finance function, working closely with managers across billing, receivables, payables, credit control and revenue. While the wider team focuses on the delivery of a new finance system, you'll ensure business‑as‑usual runs smoothly, risks are controlled and stakeholders are supported.
This role will suit someone who has managed transactional teams in a professional services setting and enjoys being close to the detail while still operating at a leadership level. You'll need to be comfortable prioritising competing demands, making judgement calls, and dealing with senior stakeholders.
