Hays are recruiting for a Management Accountant on a part-time basis for a Bristol Business Your new company A well-known Bristol-based business is looking for a Management Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis. Your new role This is a hands‑on, varied position ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, problem‑solving, and partnering with stakeholders across the business. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate, timely financial information that supports strategic and operational decisions.

Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary Support budgeting and forecasting cycles Monitor cashflow and working capital Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial controls are followed Provide financial insight to non‑finance teams Assist with year‑end processes and liaise with auditors Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting What you'll need to succeed Part‑qualified or fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).

Qualified by experience could also be considered. Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail Confident working with stakeholders at all levels Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload Proficient with Excel and modern accounting systems Curious, proactive, and keen to contribute to a positive team culture.
