We are seeking a talented and motivated Finance Apprentice to join our dynamic team.

• Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, you will support the finance team with day‑to‑day running of the accounting function and other related finance tasks.
• This opportunity will enable you to work across different areas of finance to gain confidence, experience and build a portfolio of evidence for apprenticeship accreditation. Supervision and support will be provided and available to you during all tasks as you achieve the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) professional qualification.

• Supporting month‑end financial close activities.
• Using Microsoft Dynamics AX software to maintain the nominal ledger and accounts.
• Performing reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
• Processing and reporting on prepayments, accruals, fixed assets and inter‑company balances.
• Carrying out transactional processing associated with credit cards and journal entries.
• Identifying and supporting continuous improvements in process and controls.
• Performing other ad‑hoc duties as requested by line manager or Financial Controller.

You will be working within the Finance team and internal stakeholders across the business.

• AAT part‑qualified and/or a desire to obtain a professional finance qualification.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with a desire to understand the  why  behind the numbers.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Proactive and organised approach to work, with good attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
• IT proficiency and strong Excel skills.
