Our Treasurer's main role includes maintaining an overview of SEND And You's affairs to ensure our financial viability, as well as making sure that proper financial records and procedures are maintained.

Support from SEND And You can have a deep and lasting positive impact on the lives of children/young people with SEND, and their families. The challenges faced by our service users are increasing, and it is imperative that we have a sound footing in order to deliver our existing services and develop new ones.

We're looking for someone to steer our finances confidently.

Ideally they will be:

• interested in charity finance and fundraising/income generation
• able to present financial information in an accessible way to support the Board in making informed decisions about resources
• able to analyse proposals and consider their financial consequences
• willing to make potentially unpopular recommendations to the Board.

We are looking for some experience of financial management, either in a paid role or as a volunteer, to help us strengthen our existing processes and planning.

You do not need to have been a treasurer before – we provide induction, training and support.

At SEND And You the day-to-day finances of the organisation are managed by the HR, Facilities and Finance team and the treasurer is not expected to carry out any operational financial functions.

We expect experience/understanding of, or interest in, Special Educational Needs/Disability in all our Trustees.
