Partnerships Tax Assistant Manager

My client is looking for a qualified tax professional to join a leading national advisory firm as an Assistant Manager within their Private Client Partnerships team. The role involves delivering a high-quality tax advisory and compliance service to a diverse client base, including partnerships, sole traders, and family‑owned businesses. You’ll also support the development of junior team members, work on technical advisory projects, and contribute to business development initiatives.

• Manage the tax compliance process for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Lead and deliver specialist tax assignments and planning projects.
• Collaborate with senior management to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Review work completed by junior staff and provide ongoing coaching and development.
• Build strong relationships across teams to ensure client needs are fully met.
• Supervise, brief, and support junior team members on assignments and provide on‑the‑job training where needed.

• ACA or CTA qualified (or equivalent).
• Proven experience managing personal or partnership tax compliance and advisory work.
• Strong understanding of tax issues affecting private clients, partnerships, and owner‑managed businesses.
• Demonstrated client handling and project management experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop internal and external relationships.
• Experience mentoring and supporting junior staff members.
