Day-to-Day

Working on a variety of projects across different sectors of the built environment.
Conducting energy modelling and analysis to inform design decisions.
Collaborating with clients and project teams to develop innovative, sustainable solutions.
Preparing reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in building physics, energy modelling, and sustainability.
Contributing to research and development initiatives to advance the field of sustainable building design.

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed energy modelling and analysis using IES, SAP, and SBEM software to support sustainable building design.
Collaborate with architects, M&E engineers, and contractors to develop innovative, low-energy building solutions.
Provide expert advice on building physics, energy performance, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Contribute to the design and optimisation of naturally ventilated buildings and open-plan spaces.
Support the development of strategies to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions in the built environment.
Participate in research and development initiatives to drive innovation in sustainable building practices.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients, clearly communicating findings and recommendations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in energy modelling and analysis using IES, SAP, and SBEM software.
A strong understanding of building physics, energy performance, and sustainability principles.
A degree in a relevant field such as engineering, architecture, or environmental science.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
A proactive, mission-driven mindset with a passion for creating sustainable, low-energy buildings.
Familiarity with UK building regulations and standards related to energy performance and sustainability.
