Senior Civil Engineer - Water

Our client, a leader in the water sector, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team in Bristol. You will be working on water and wastewater schemes, contributing to their efficient and effective treatment systems.

• Providing design support and guidance, ensuring designs meet current legislation and standards.
• Collaborating with commercial, operational, and construction teams to develop efficient and safe solutions.
• Engaging with clients to manage relationships and support them in achieving their goals.
• Managing the integration of civil design with other disciplines and documentation.
• Acting as a technical checker and undertaking technical reviews for projects.
• Identifying opportunities to improve delivery processes with standard designs, sustainable solutions, and digital tools.
• Undertaking site reviews to ensure buildability of solutions within existing systems.
• Supporting the development of the civil engineering team, including mentoring and resource allocation.

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Chartership (CEng) with a relevant engineering institution is highly desirable.
• Experience in successful delivery of high-quality outputs in line with design, quality, and safety standards.
• Effective communication skills with team members and stakeholders.
• Methodical approach to problem‑solving.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the operational region.
• Experience in water/wastewater is essential.
