Whether it’s offshore wind connections, substation builds, or underground cabling schemes—this is planning that makes a real impact. This role is based at our Woolavington site near Bridgwater, Somerset, supporting a major substation construction project through to 2028, with a strong pipeline of additional works beyond. It is a hybrid position, requiring three days per week on site once construction is fully underway.

Develop and maintain fully resourced, logically linked programmes across all project phases.
  • Strategic Tender Planning:
Lead the development and presentation of compelling tender programmes and planning strategies that influence bid success.

Manage contract programmes to ensure alignment with commercial and operational goals.
  • Critical Path & Change Management:
Identify risks, assess impacts, and implement robust mitigation strategies.
  • Reporting & Insights:
Deliver detailed progress reports, KPIs, and strategic planning insights to project leadership.
  • Mentorship & Leadership:
Guide and mentor junior planners, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Stakeholder

    Collaboration:

Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Commercial teams, and Clients to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
  • Continuous Improvement:
Champion enhancements to planning processes, tools, and methodologies.

  • Excellent communication skills to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
  • The ability to lead independently and collaboratively in a hybrid, fast‑paced environment.
