Quantity Surveyors - Multiple Levels

Location:

Bristol / Hybrid (3 days onsite or client site, 2 days remote) Salary: £50,000 - £80,000 depending on experience Sector:
Infrastructure - Water, Rail, Highways & Major Civil Projects An internationally recognised engineering and infrastructure consultancy is expanding its Complex Projects team and is looking to hire multiple Quantity Surveying professionals across several levels. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile infrastructure programmes across the UK, including major projects in rail, water, highways, nuclear and defence sectors. You will join a collaborative commercial team delivering projects ranging from £2m highways schemes to £60m rail and water programmes, as well as nationally significant projects within defence and energy.

The team currently consists of around 10-12 core members, with a wider project ecosystem of 20-30 professionals, offering strong collaboration, mentorship, and career development.

Key Responsibilities Work closely with project managers, contractors, and client teams to manage project commercial performance. Monitor and control project costs to ensure delivery within budget. Manage contractor payments, cost validation and supplier accounts. Prepare and present commercial and financial reports to stakeholders. Support or lead procurement and contractor appointment processes Administer contracts and manage variations, compensation events and change control.

Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities. Support value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives. Experience & Skills Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline Experience working on civil infrastructure projects such as Highways, Rail or Water Strong knowledge of NEC contracts (NEC4 preferred, NEC3 also considered)

Experience with FIDIC or IChemE contracts is beneficial. Understanding of CESMM4 / MMHW measurement standards Strong commercial and contractual management experience Experience working in client-side or consultancy environments.
