Hinkley Point C (HPC) is the first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years. HPC’s two EPR reactors will be capable of generating 3.26GW of secure, low‑carbon electricity for 60 years, enough to power around 6 million homes. In addition to the project’s clean‑energy benefits, HPC will create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.
IntegrationEngineer Responsibilities
- Review the construction schedule to ensure that identified sequence can be implemented in conjunction with related structures, systems and other constraints.
- Review availability of materials and equipment to assess project readiness to commence works.
- Support resolution of “hotspots” to maintain the overall schedule milestones where necessary, supporting “Best For Project” decision‑making.
- Provide oversight of the Project’s application of “Delivery Work Pack” & “Interface Data Sheet” procedures.
- Ensure that the Delivery Integration team supports the health and safety of the workforce, public and environment, and that construction activities are planned and coordinated across the project. This supports the site’s Quality mission and contributes to the project’s “Right First Time” objective.
- Accountable for delivering tasks as defined by the Area Integration Senior Engineer, meeting the site’s health and safety expectations and complying with the HPC Life‑Saving Rules. Ensure compliance with specifications, codes, standards, industry custom and practice, and lessons learned from similar projects or tasks.
- Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Process or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent in Construction Management, or a demonstrable level of experience based on years of experience and project assignments.
- Experience in delivering complex projects.
- Knowledge and experience of planning tools (P6), 3D model interrogation (Navisworks) and use of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
