Senior Flight Control Engineer Bristol | £60,000–£70,000 | Hybrid (1-2 days onsite)

You’ll join a fast-growing UK aerospace SME that designs, builds and manufactures advanced uncrewed aircraft entirely in-house. Engineering, prototyping, avionics and manufacturing all sit under one roof. That means flight control design isn’t theoretical - it’s tested, refined and flown in tight development loops.

Recent investment has accelerated growth, and the business is scaling its flight control and simulation capability to support increasingly complex platforms.

You’ll take a senior role in developing and leading flight control software across multiple UAV platforms. Think Model-based design of flight control systems (Matlab/Simulink), Flight Dynamics modelling and as a senior you’ll lead on software work packages & review code.

You’ll work closely with aerodynamics, systems, embedded software and flight operations teams - shaping control strategies that actually fly.

• Strong background in control systems design and documentation
• Deep understanding of aeronautics and control theory
• Significant experience with MATLAB & Simulink
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers within software projects
• Ideally exposure to embedded or real-time systems
• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance
