We are seeking a fully qualified Architect (MCIAT or ARB accredited) with proven experience in domestic retrofit projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of PAS 2035 and wider retrofit compliance requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful social housing projects, improving energy efficiency and supporting a whole‑house retrofit approach. You’ll join a respected consultancy offering long‑term stability and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop retrofit design solutions in line with PAS
2035:2023
Interpret Retrofit Assessments, Condition Reports and IOEs
Produce detailed technical specifications and design documentation
Develop ventilation strategies (Approved Document F compliant)
Undertake U-value calculations, thermal bridging analysis and condensation risk assessments
Identify building risks, constraints and propose mitigation solutions
Support the Whole House Retrofit approach
About You:
Fully qualified Architect-MCIAT or ARB accredited (essential)
Experience in domestic retrofit projects
Strong knowledge of insulation, ventilation, moisture management and fabric-first principles
Good working knowledge of Revit/CAD and Microsoft Office
Understanding of PAS
2035 and retrofit compliance requirements
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Site travel as required
Bristol (Hybrid – 2/3 Days Office Based)
