Structures Test Technologist

Location: Filton (contract basis, office‑based)

We are working with a manufacturing business that operates in the Aerospace sector, designing, manufacturing and delivering industry‑leading commercial aircraft, and running separate Space and Defence divisions.

As a Structures Test Technologist, you will be results‑oriented and driven to succeed, working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team. Your responsibilities include:

• Critical structural tests
• Design and setup of the control and data acquisition systems of the test
• Design and setup of hydraulic loading systems for test rigs
• Calibration of equipment

We’re looking for people who can show:

• Education (or equivalent proven experience) in mechanical engineering or a related discipline (e.g. Aerospace, Structures, Materials, Systems, Physics)
• Project Management & delivery experience
• Expertise in one of the following disciplines:
  Aeronautical structures, control systems, structural testing
• Track record of working with structures, materials or systems testing is an advantage
• Track record of managing suppliers or participating in supplier selection is an advantage

• Hourly rate circa £58 ph via Umbrella company
• Flexible working
