Calibration Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical / Torque)
Bristol (near) | Lab-based or On-site | £35,000 – £45,000

We’re recruiting a Calibration Engineer to join a growing calibration team supporting customers across a range of sectors. This role would suit someone with a background in mechanical, electrical, or torque calibration who enjoys a mix of hands-on technical work and quality-driven documentation.

The Role

Depending on your preference and experience, you can be lab-based or site-based, carrying out calibration, verification, and reporting across customer equipment and standards.

Key responsibilities:

* Calibrate and verify equipment in line with documented procedures and quality standards

* Work across mechanical / electrical / torque disciplines (based on your strengths)

* Produce accurate certificates, reports, and supporting records

* Support fault-finding, minor repairs, and technical queries where needed

* Maintain traceability and uphold best practice around measurement uncertainty and compliance

What we’re looking for

* Calibration experience in mechanical, electrical and/or torque

* Comfortable working to quality systems (ISO/UKAS-aligned environments)

* Strong attention to detail with paperwork/certification

* Full UK driving licence (for on-site roles)

* UKAS signatory status (or working towards) — advantageous, not essential

What’s on offer

* £35,000 – £45,000 (depending on experience).

* Private Medical cover.

* Choice of lab-based or field/on-site role

* Training and development opportunities (including UKAS pathway if relevant)

* Stable workload with variety across customers/equipment

If you want to keep it discreet, send a CV or a quick note with your calibration discipline (mechanical/electrical/torque) and whether you prefer lab or field
