A consultancy is seeking a Principal Environmental Consultant.This is a unique opportunity to work on high-profile infrastructure and urban development projects that shape the future of cities and communities.
You’ll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment where environmental excellence and sustainability are central to every project. The role offers the chance to lead Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), advise on policy and compliance, and contribute to innovative, socially useful work.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) across major infrastructure and urban development schemes
- Integrate environmental considerations into planning and design alongside technical teams
- Conduct assessments and develop mitigation strategies to manage environmental risks
- Engage with regulators, stakeholders, and clients to ensure compliance and best practice
- Monitor and report on environmental management plans and EIA conditions
- Provide expert advice on environmental policy, regulation, and sustainability
- Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- Full membership (or working towards) of IEMA/ISEP or equivalent professional body
- Proven experience delivering complex environmental projects across sectors
Strong knowledge of UK environmental regulations and sustainability frameworks - Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Salary up to £65,000
