Graduate Engineer (Bridge Marine and Offshore Structures) – Summer Intake 2026

About the roleWe are looking for a graduate civil/structural engineer to join our Bristol team and work on a wide range of bridge and marine offshore structure projects. You’ll contribute to flagship infrastructure programmes across the UK and receive support for your professional development and chartership.
Key Responsibilities- Produce engineering designs, assessments and evaluations in line with project requirements.
- Write calculations, reports and check drawings.
- Review design calculations and drawings prepared by other engineers.
- Carry out data collection, analysis and development of calculation methods to deliver high‑quality project work.
- Disseminate engineering good practice and implement in‑house tools such as the carbon calculation tool.
- Plan and prioritise workload with project managers, reporting progress against budget and programme.
- Deliver technical work to a high standard, ensuring accuracy through diligent self‑checking.
- Attend site visits or client meetings as required.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng/BSc/MEng/MSc).
- Aspirations to become a Chartered Engineer.
- Experience in an engineering environment – e.g., industry placement or summer placement.
- Familiarity with UK standards or equivalent European/Euro Codes.
- Understanding of CDM Regulations and design requirements.
- Strong technical enthusiasm, commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ability to collaborate within diverse multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Good communication skills and teamwork.
