Assistant Project Manager

Position: Assistant Project Manager (Permanent)
Our client, a national Water sector specialist contractor, with a turnover of c £300 million+ is looking to strengthen its project delivery team in Bristol, with the recruitment of a Permanent Assistant Project Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant PM to support the successful delivery of a portfolio of projects in the water sector while developing their career within a structured and professional environment.

The successful candidate will be working closely with the Project Manager across single or multiple projects, acting as the PM’s Deputy and supporting client liaison, project governance, supply chain management, and overall project performance.

As Assistant Project Manager you will:

* Support the project team to ensure all legal, regulatory, and industry standards are met

* Assist the PM in ensuring robust health & safety management arrangements are in place for the duration of the project.

* Administer the Project Management Plan, ensuring Quality Assurance is embedded throughout.

* Support the PM and QS with early warning notices, compensation events, change control, and scope changes.

* Support project resourcing, programme planning, and site progress reporting

Our client requires Assistant Project Manager with:

* HND/HNC and vocational professional/management qualifications or transferable role specific experience

* H&S qualification SMSTS/IOSH/NEBOSH

* Member of relevant professional body (e.g. APM, CMI, ICE) or working towards professional recognition with a chartered body.

* Experience of the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects

* Excellent communication, leadership, and management skills

Salary/Benefits:

* £40,000 - £50,000 per annum

* Company car
