Job Title and Location
Process Engineer – Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul – Bristol, England (Hybrid).
Role OverviewAs part of the Overhaul & Maintenance Methods (OMM) skill group, you will define, validate and support the implementation of maintenance policies and procedures at product level, including training & tooling.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and validate maintenance concepts, methods, and tools to enhance assembly maintainability and support Engine MRO operations.
- Provide technical support to ensure efficient, rate‑ready, and production‑friendly maintenance methods.
- Manage design and manufacturing of Ground Support Equipment within the supply chain.
- Identify and implement cost‑reduction opportunities in Engine MRO while continuously improving processes and tools.
- Ensure technical compliance with regulatory, contractual, and customer requirements, and disseminate maintenance policies through technical publications for operators.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including Manufacturing Engineering, MRO Bases, Service Operations, and Design teams, to improve technical solutions.
- Lead and support product safety through the development of high‑quality methods, tooling and facility sustainment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM subject or relevant engineering experience (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Electrical or Controls).
- Ability to apply logical, analytical, and innovative thinking to technical problems and make balanced decisions across technical and business parameters.
- Knowledge of product design methodology, materials, repair, lifecycle engineering, and manufacturing engineering with systems thinking.
- Familiarity with technical publications such as maintenance manuals and illustrated parts catalogues, and competency in XML/SGML or technical publication editing tools is desirable.
- Good knowledge of the Defence Mature engines portfolio and relevant systems and components.
- Hold UK nationality and be eligible for a Security Check (SC) clearance without caveats.
Hybrid working is expected: an average of three days per week at the Bristol office, with time spent at home or other remote locations as appropriate.
