Service Engineer

Overview

An outstanding field Service Engineer role with a UK sales & service office of a European manufacturer of packaging machinery supplied to the food industry. Fantastic package for the right person.

Home based – covering the UK & Ireland. You will travel and stay away as required, typically 2 nights per week on average. You will also provide technical support in the office in the East Midlands for a week every 7 weeks and stay locally whilst on call.

• Repair, upgrade and refurbishment of existing packaging machinery
• Installation and commissioning of new machinery
• Offer remote technical support from the office (1 week in
  7)
• Generate after-sales revenue
• Be involved in client training
• Full product training in the UK and Europe

• Proven track record as a field Service Engineer with experience on packaging or process machinery used in the food industry
• Qualified multi-skilled engineer, ideally to HNC+ level
• Comfortable working with clients on after-sales & training

• Basic salary: up to £58,600
• Quarterly bonus of circa £4,400
• On-call allowance of circa £2,000 to earn total around £65,000

They don’t recruit often, but when they do, people who join them stay with them. I have recruited for them before and this role is to replace a candidate I placed there who has just been promoted.
