Technical Director (Infrastructure Planning)

Join WSP's market‑leading Infrastructure Planning team as a Technical Director, leading consenting, technical advisory, and project management for major national infrastructure projects.

• Lead consenting inputs on major projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAs).
• Provide technical leadership and advisory to clients and manage their consenting requirements.
• Coordinate preparation and submission of consent applications.
• Act as Project Director for projects led and managed by the Infrastructure Planning business.
• Lead complex negotiations with statutory bodies and stakeholders on behalf of clients.
• Act as Planning Expert Witness at DCO examinations and hearings.
• Support and pursue new work winning opportunities in line with WSP's Growth Strategy.
• Understand project finances and demonstrate project management experience.
• Line manage and mentor colleagues.

• Degree level qualification in town planning (or equivalent).
• Member of the RTPI.
• Experienced Senior Consultant in consenting and planning for major infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical and advisory expertise, including certain acts.
• Line management and mentoring experience.
