Job DescriptionThe continued demand for infrastructure projects and the organisation’s growth plans mean we are recruiting Senior Estimators with proven experience across the Railway, Airports, Highways, Power, Water or Utilities sector. Opportunities are available in London, Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester.
Estimators support clients as embedded resources or on ad‑hoc work for multiple projects across the Infrastructure sector. While most work is for UK clients, our Estimators may also work remotely (from the UK) on estimating tasks for global clients as required.
Responsibilities- Produce accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans for projects in a timely and efficient manner.
- Control and manage the estimating process at project level.
- Produce estimates without management or supervision.
- Support the development and promotion of estimating good practice within Turner & Townsend.
- Assist in achieving departmental objectives.
- Stay abreast of developments within own technical area of expertise to give best practice advice in line with business objectives.
- Qualified to a high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven relevant experience.
- Relevant successful experience of provision of estimating and/or QS services in a large project environment.
- Previous experience of working with estimating software packages.
- Membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status or working towards it.
- Desirable membership of RICS/CIOB/ACostE.
