What to Expect

We seek a talented Avionic Systems Engineer to design, develop and integrate communication, navigation and surveillance systems for an eVTOL platform. Contribute to the full lifecycle of avionics development, including system definition, integration testing and support for certification processes.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Data and Communications Systems team with system design and integration activities. Develop requirements, design documents, interface control documents, test procedures and reports. Support testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Capture engineering specifications in Vertical’s modelling and requirements environment, enabling end‑to‑end traceability.
  • Perform verification and validation to ensure systems meet user requirements.
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure system compatibility and integration into the platform.
  • Lead tasks within the Data and Communication Systems team. Deliver designs, take responsibility for hardware and software delivery within your domain, plan, design and execute lab test activities and produce design documentation.
  • Stay current with new technologies and implement them into designs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in avionics, aerospace, electrical or electronic engineering or related field. Systems engineering training is a plus.
  • Proven experience in avionic systems engineering (5+ years).
  • Working knowledge of communication, navigation and surveillance systems.
  • Familiarity with ARP
    4761, ARP
    4754, DO‑160 and avionics standards.
  • Experience with ARINC 429, CAN, RS‑422, MIL‑STD‑1553.
  • Proficiency in systems engineering tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of FAA, EASA and related aviation regulations.
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management systems (3DX preferred).
  • Experience with MATLAB System Composer (preferred).
  • Experience with JAMA (preferred).
