Protocol Education are working with an ambitious and growing South Bristol secondary academy to appoint a Teacher of Food Technology starting in September 2026
. This role will be paid to your Teacher M Scale.

The School

This South Bristol academy opened in 2023 and is growing year by year as new cohorts join the school. The academy will eventually serve around 900 students aged 11–16
.

About the Role

As a Food Technology Teacher
, you will deliver engaging and practical lessons that help students develop important cooking, nutrition and food preparation skills
.

You will play an important role in helping students understand healthy eating, food science and real-world life skills
, while contributing to the development of the school’s growing curriculum.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching Food Technology across Key Stage 3 (with future opportunities as the school grows)
  • Planning and delivering engaging practical and theory lessons
  • Supporting students to develop skills in nutrition, cooking and food safety
  • Building strong relationships that support student confidence and engagement
  • Monitoring progress and supporting students to achieve their potential

As the academy continues to grow, there will also be opportunities for teachers to take on additional responsibilities and develop leadership experience
.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
