The role

As the Year 6 Teacher
, you’ll play a key role in guiding pupils through their final year of primary school, helping them achieve their full potential and feel confident about the move to secondary education.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating a safe, stimulating classroom environment where all pupils feel supported to succeed
  • Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons across the curriculum
  • Preparing pupils for end‑of‑key‑stage assessments
    , including SATs
  • Promoting high standards of literacy, numeracy, and oracy
  • Using assessment effectively to monitor progress and provide meaningful feedback
  • Adapting teaching to support pupils with SEND, EAL, or higher attainment
  • Working closely with colleagues and support staff to deliver targeted interventions
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, families, and the wider school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, but the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
