Learning Support Worker

Axcis is working with a large, welcoming and well‑renowned college on the outskirts of Bristol who are looking for a learning support worker to work on a part‑time basis, 3 days per week starting as soon as possible.

The role will be working the hours of 09:15‑15:30 and will be supporting students in different subjects. One subject will be foundation studies and the others will vary based on the student’s timetable and your interests too – it is very important to us and the college to match support workers’ interests and hobbies to the courses and support, as we’ve found it makes a great deal of difference to the students and you alike!

The college and I are looking for someone with a passion to want to help people, someone hardworking and adaptable, approachable and supportive and someone with a glass half full, can‑do attitude. The college has great public transport links as well as a large staff car park.

The pay is between £13.69 and £17.45 per hour depending on previous experience and qualifications (if necessary). You will be paid a week in arrears every Friday term time only.

To work in any educational setting, you must have an in‑date enhanced DBS on the update service. If you already have one – great – if not, this will be at a cost of £57.00 to you for the DBS.
