We are working with a highly regarded specialist school in Bristol that supports pupils on the Autistic spectrum with complex needs
. The school is looking for a committed and enthusiastic Autism Support Worker to join their dedicated team.

For many pupils with autism,
consistency and routine are key
, so this is a full-time role, five days a week during the academic year
, allowing you to build strong relationships and provide meaningful support to the children in your care.

• Supporting pupils with Autism and complex needs
• Working 1:1 and in small groups to support learning and development
• Assisting with classroom activities and structured learning tasks
• Helping pupils with daily routines and transitions throughout the school day
• Supporting the delivery and development of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Working alongside experienced teachers, therapists, and support staff

• Have at least one year of experience supporting children with autism
• Are confident supporting pupils with complex needs
• Are comfortable assisting with personal care when required
• Have experience with behaviour management strategies
• Have knowledge of PECS or Makaton (desirable but not essential)
• Bring a patient, encouraging, and positive attitude to supporting young people

• Passport or proof of Right to Work in the UK
• Two proofs of address, for example driving licence, utility bill, or council tax letter
• CV covering the last 10 years of work or education
  , with any gaps explained
• Two years of references
  , including childcare or relevant support work
• DBS check
  , we can support you with this if required
• Overseas Police Check if you’ve lived abroad for more than three months in the last five years
