Overview
Kingsweston School is looking for an excellent full‑time teacher for children and young people with ASC and SLD learning needs.
Our provision is a large, diverse maintained specialist school in the north‑west of Bristol across three sites.
Fixed‑term contract until 31 August 2027 (MPS).
Closing date 9:00 am, Friday 27 March 2026. Interviews Monday 20 March 2026. Start date as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities- Inspire and engage learners with a range of learning needs.
- Set high ambition for all learners, regardless of their needs.
- Deliver lessons that promote academic and social/emotional curriculum for ASC pupils and those with SLD.
- Collaborate as a team with a wide group of adults and work flexibly.
- Demonstrate a good sense of humour and resilience in challenging situations.
- Experience teaching children and young people with ASC and SLD.
- Ability to design inclusive lesson plans that meet academic and personal development objectives.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Employment subject to satisfactory references, enhanced DBS clearance and a health assessment.
