Special Education Teacher, Teacher Assistant/ Paraprofessional
We’re partnering with a supportive, ambitious and inclusive secondary school in North Bristol to recruit a French Teacher for both supply and long-term roles
. The school values a broad, engaging curriculum where language learning plays a central role in helping students understand different cultures and build confidence in global communication. The curriculum is designed to be personalised and rooted in developing students’ knowledge, skills and readiness for life beyond the classroom.
Pay: £163 – £265.92 per day (PAYE, inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay)
Location: Bristol
You’ll be leading engaging and high-quality French lessons that spark curiosity, build linguistic skills and deepen cultural understanding. French is offered alongside other languages as part of a broad modern foreign languages curriculum that encourages pupils to be confident communicators and global citizens.
Key responsibilities include:
Teach French across KS3 and KS4 with potential KS5 opportunities depending on experience
Deliver engaging lessons that develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skills
Differentiate effectively to support a range of learner needs
Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic progress
Collaborate with colleagues within the Languages department to enrich the curriculum

The ideal candidateYou’ll be a strong fit for this role if you have:
QTS, QTLS, or equivalent UK teaching experience
Excellent subject knowledge in French
Skilled classroom management and confident teaching presence
A flexible, reliable and professional approach
Openness to short‑term, long‑term, or permanent roles
