Design Technology Technician

The Role

We are recruiting a Technician to work in our Design and Technology Department. The Design Technology Department is a thriving, dynamic, and supportive team in which to work. We currently offer KS4 Product Design, Textiles, and Hospitality and Catering, as well as Product Design and Textiles  KS3 curriculum covers all aspects of paper and board, coding, textiles, electronics, metals, timbers, and food, therefore providing a forward‑thinking, modern, and exciting approach.

The school is committed to creative subjects as part of its Christian vision. We are also committed to gender equality within the field of DT. The department is well resourced with specialist rooms.

The current postholder works Monday to Thursday (8am to 4pm), i.e. 30 hours a week including a daily 30‑minute unpaid lunch break. The successful candidate will work 30 hours per week, term time only, including 5 INSET days (39 weeks per annum). The salary range is Bristol Grade 8 (BG8), which is currently equivalent to £29,064, rising to £31,022 per annum (gross per annum paid pro rata plus holiday pay).

This will be prorated according to working hours and working weeks per annum. The contract is permanent and is subject to a 6‑month probationary period.
