Chemistry Teacher (Full Time, January Start)

Contract: Full-time, ongoing
Salary: Paid to scale (MPS/UPS, depending on experience)

A secondary school in Horfield is looking for a full-time Chemistry specialist to join their Science department from January. This role includes teaching KS3 general Science and KS4 Chemistry, with full planning, delivery, and marking responsibilities.
About the roleYou’ll teach mixed‑ability groups across Years 7 to 11, with a particular focus on GCSE Chemistry. The department has clear schemes of work, shared resources, and reliable technician support. Practical lessons are well organised, and the school places importance on consistent routines to help lessons run smoothly.
You’ll be involved in planning, assessments, and departmental meetings, working alongside colleagues who communicate well and value a collaborative approach.
