Protocol Education is supporting a highly respected BS8 school in the appointment of a part-time (0.7 FTE) Teacher of Psychology from September 2026 to cover maternity leave.

The Psychology DepartmentPsychology is a highly popular A Level subject within the Sixth Form.
Students follow the AQA specification, with:
- Four Lower Sixth teaching groups
- Three Upper Sixth teaching groups
The department is small but collaborative, offering a supportive environment where ideas are shared and professional dialogue is valued. Results are consistently strong, and students are motivated, engaged and keen to explore the subject in depth.
The RoleAs Teacher of Psychology, you will:
- Teach A Level Psychology across Lower and Upper Sixth
- Plan and deliver engaging, thought‑provoking lessons
- Prepare students effectively for AQA examinations
- Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
- Contribute to enrichment within the department
In addition to classroom teaching, you will take responsibility for projects that enhance and support the curriculum. This may include:
- Organising and leading subject‑related day trips
- Coordinating visiting guest speakers
- Developing enrichment or extension opportunities
This is a 0.7 FTE temporary maternity cover position, starting September 2026.
Who We’re Looking ForYou will:
- ✔ Hold UK QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- ✔ Have experience teaching Psychology at A Level
- ✔ Be confident delivering the AQA specification
- ✔ Bring energy, subject expertise and intellectual curiosity
- ✔ Be keen to contribute to co‑curricular life
This role would suit an experienced A Level teacher or a strong practitioner looking to work in an academically ambitious environment with engaged Sixth Form students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
