Are you a resilient, empathetic educator with a passion for supporting Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? ANZUK Education is partnered with a welcoming primary school in Hornchurch looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their inclusive team.

Located in the heart of Havering, this school is known for its nurturing and ambitious environment. They are committed to providing high-quality, inclusive education for pupils with ASD, ADHD, and SEMH, ensuring every student has the tools to succeed.

The Role:

You will provide vital 1:1 and small group support, working alongside the SENCO to bridge the gap between students and the curriculum. You’ll be a calm presence for pupils facing emotional challenges, helping them navigate their social and academic development.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group interventions.

* Adapt learning materials to meet diverse MLD and SEMH needs.

* Manage complex behaviours using positive de-escalation techniques.

* Track student progress and collaborate with staff and external professionals.

The Ideal Candidate :

* Experience supporting SEND/SEMH (within education, care, or personal settings).

* A "child-first" mindset with high levels of patience and resilience.

* Strong understanding of safeguarding and pupil welfare.

* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
