Salary: £180 – £250 per day (Depending on experience/scale)

Are you a passionate and resilient educator with a deep understanding of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? ANZUK Education is seeking a dedicated SEMH Specialist Teacher to lead high-quality learning within a supportive secondary school in Hornchurch.
The School:
Located in Havering, this welcoming school is committed to "excellence in SEMH education." They provide a therapeutic, structured, and nurturing environment where pupils with EHCPs can build the skills needed to thrive.
The Role:
As a Specialist Teacher, you will go beyond traditional teaching. You will lead the day-to-day curriculum for pupils with complex needs, creating a safe and stimulating environment rooted in mutual respect. This role involves managing challenging behaviour through relational, reflective practice rather than punitive measures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan & Deliver:
Design and implement engaging, differentiated lessons that meet academic, social, and emotional outcomes.
* Specialist Intervention:
Lead 1:1 and small group sessions focused on self-regulation, emotional literacy, and resilience.
* Assessment & Tracking:
Conduct SEMH screenings and track progress across both academic and emotional domains.
* Collaboration:
Work closely with the SENCO, Educational Psychologists, and families to ensure holistic support.
The Ideal Candidate :
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS):
Essential, with experience in specialist or mainstream SEND settings.
* Resilience & Empathy: A "child-first" mindset with excellent de-escalation and positive behaviour management skills.
* Knowledge:
Secure understanding of the SEMH agenda, trauma-informed approaches, and statutory SEND guidance.
* Compliance:
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
