SEN Teaching Assistant - Sefton

Are you a reliable and empathetic individual with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs? We're looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic department in Sefton. This is a rewarding, full-time, long-term position starting in September.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be a vital part of the support system for students with special educational needs. Your main duties will include:

• Providing one-on-one and small-group support to students in the classroom and during specialised sessions.
• Encouraging students to engage in their learning and contribute to their well‑being.
• Keeping detailed records of student progress and behaviour.
• Communicating effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
• Building positive relationships with students and colleagues as a valuable member of the school team.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A minimum of 6 months of experience assisting children with SEN in a UK classroom setting.
• A valid Enhanced DBS check (or be willing to apply for a new one).
• The legal right to work in the UK.
• A strong commitment to inclusive education and continuous professional development.
